MY chemical romance. MY story.
So, one of my most influential bands is of course My Chemical Romance, now let me tell you a little story about them.
So i have seen them live twice now, the second being at Reading Festival 2011 which they headlined the main stage which was EPIC by the way, but more importantly I'm going to tell you about the first time i saw them live which was back in february in Nottingham.
As you are probably aware, if anyone is reading this, you can probably guess that i love drawing and this has always been the case ever since i can remember, However, for a few year i stumbled upon a creative block in which i had no inspiration and creative expression thus resulting in a lack of artwork produced by me.
Anyways so a friend of mine is a HUGE HUGE HUGE MCR fan and always has been and i think he has seen them live like 16 times now ~(I've got a lot of catching up to do)~ and because of him i really got into them. I just found their talent to make such anthem like music was astounding and what astounded me even more was their fan base the 'MCRmy', some of the people i have come across have been amazing people and one common denominator in all these people is that MCR have most definitely saved their lives, not always in the literal sense, but thats not important. I simply found this band and their fans amazing and like nothing i have ever come across before, and me, being really into my music, i really wanted some of this action.
The time finally came! i was getting the chance to go see My Chemical Romance for the first time and experience the greatness everyone was on about. So we headed into the Arena and three of us headed down the front for the much better concert experience, as i don't really see the point in paying money to go see a band and standing at the back where you can hardly see and the atmosphere is much drier (literally) than down the front where you are standing pit to sweaty pit with people, who for that moment, you share something in common with and everyone is like your best friend. LET ME TELL YOU this concert was a life changer for me thats for sure, i mean you can talk about how great a band are without seeing them, and thats enough for some people which is fine, but for me the feeling just intensifies and its like no other experience on the Earth.
The next few days after the concert definitely got me thinking, and i was feeling something i hadnt felt in a while, INSPIRATION, finally it had returned to me and not just in a small dose, it was OVERWHELMING! I had to let it out. So this is the day i started drawing again, and it may be on and off, but i haven't stopped since although im pretty sure Reading Fest was a top up :). Anyways seeing as they gave me my inspiration back i stared with a pretty epic piece of MCR related work, and i have done a few others of them too. So when im feeling a lack of inspiration i know i can turn to My Chemical Romance and i will find it again, so for that i wish to thank them.

Growing up to soon?
So when I'm drawing i like to do two things; 1. listen to music and sing quite loudly and 2. Think.
So i was thinking the other day what is the deal with the world wanting us to grow up so fast? I mean i personally feel that being forced to make decisions regarding my future at such a young age have lead me to a dead end in my current future. I mean kids don't get to be kids anymore... to much responsibilities put upon them too soon in their lives.
So in the UK we have to choose subjects to study in Year 9!!! and the subjects we choose then are supposed to be the ones we want to be able to help us in our future career choice. Who wants to think about having a career in year 9, that is just ridiculous. Now I'm not saying doing things this way doesn't work for everyone, for some, it does, they choose these subjects and carry them through to university and end up in the career of their choice, but for me this is just not the case. Im 20 and i still have no idea where i want my life to go, right now i just want to see the world and hope that this will gain me some insight into different cultures and help me grow up just a little bit, because i in no way feel ready to take on responsibilities of having a full time job that i will be stuck in for the remainder of my life and owning a house, i mean i can barely look after myself living with my parents let alone thinking about having my own family.
My parents have gone away for a week and i have been left in charge of looking after the dog and the house, and I'm struggling, I'm not going to lie,
if looking after a fussy dog is this hard god only knows how hard an actual human being would be to look after!!
Any way coming back from my tangent, i know not a lot of people will read this and i know its not going to change anything but i think forcing kids to make decisions on something they don't want to think about really isn't practical. i believe our system needs revising. Let us go through life making the wrong decisions so that when the time is right we will know exactly where we want our lives to end up.

Disney is the way
So, every once in a while i go through a face where i can't get enough of Disney movies and these two drawings of mine are a result of this phase.
I'm pretty proud of how they turned out to be honest, not to show i have a big head or anything, but as a perfectionist i rarely like my work when its finished because i always feel there is something i could have done better.
Although i only draw for a hobby, i kind of wish i could go to an art school and develop my 'skills' further, but i dont think im good enough for that.
Anyways, Enjoy these :)
From Amy - Changing the world one rubbish picture at a time.
All are welcome
So my blog title may be a bit misleading but i thought it was quite catchy :D
So anyways... Creating and writing for my travel blog, made me want a place to write my more casual thoughts down, so here we are.
Also, aswell as posting things on my everyday thoughts and feelings i will be posting pictures of my artwork, well just crappy drawings really but whatever :)
